Google Chrome 66 : Autoplay block | Dev | Launch | For Window, Mac and Android

Google launches the all new Chrome 66 !

The most used google chrome has created sensation by rolling out the newer chrome 66.

After a long wait, google has announced the best or, I say most powerful chrome browser of all time.  You wanna know why?

For this, Let’s get straight into the newly added features in the browser which is spreading all over the internet like fire :-

  • Auto-playing Switched Off

Yes, You read this right. Google turned off the “autoplay feature” by default in the updated version. Okay you may start thinking that this is good but let me remind you YouTube videos will no longer be autoplay. I bet you haven’t thought about this!

  • Control over background audio

Google has been working hard to save data and power of the user so they added feature to disable audio by muting specific sites of your choice. This also reduce unwanted noises and disturbance for the user.

  • Exporting passwords made easy

Also, you can manage your saved passwords by going into the settings and manage passwords easily from there without any problem. You can also export passwords into CSV file from the settings by performing certain authorization.

  • CSS type object model

Now, Chrome 66 has implemented CSS Typed Object Model. Rather than changing CSS by modification of strings the  “CSS Typed Object Model Level 1”  reduces this load or, I say burden on both the browser and developer by showing CSS values as typed JavaScript objects rather than strings. This not only enhances performance but also allows developers to write more maintainable code.

  •  Developer features

There are so many developers out there who want to know that Chrome 66 includes an updated V8 JavaScript engine: version 6.6. This update includes new JavaScript language features, code caching after execution, background compilation, removal of AST numbering, and performance improvements.

Within a week all the devices will get rolled out with this update so get ready.

Just a random guy !
